Matter and Antimatter were both formed in equal amounts when there was The Big Bang. Matter consists of molecules which have atoms and atoms have subatomic particles (electron, proton and neutron). Antimatter as the name suggests it is something which is against the matter. Antimatter also has molecules in which there are atoms. But, here comes the reason why they really are called antimatter . Unlike matter, antimatter has positrons (positively charged particles) instead of electrons, anti-protons instead of protons, anti-neutrons instead of neutrons.
